Fish and Wildlife police officers responded to a beach near the Oysterville area where a 50-foot commercial crabbing vessel ran aground today.

A portion of the beach, beginning about two miles north of the clam reserve, will be temporarily closed by the WDFW Police for tonight’s scheduled razor clam dig due to diesel spillage and debris that has been scattered along the beach. The good news is that about 90 percent of the beach will remain open for tonight’s dig.
