Clam diggers need to be careful
Folks planning to head to Twin Harbors or Long Beach for the current clam dig need to be very careful while at the water’s edge.
I just checked the forecast, and it is calling for swells to range from 16 feet tonight then rising to 25 feet by Friday night.
Dan Ayres, the state’s coastal shellfish manager, recommends people not take to the beach if swells reach 11 to 12 feet.
