National Park Service officer, former Mount Rainier clerk Philip Pantoja retires after 35 years

From the National Park Service:

Philip Pantoja, contracting officer for Pacific West Region in Seattle, Washington, retired on January 3rd after 35 years with the National Park Service.

Philip is a Korea and Vietnam War veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army for a combined total of 21 years. He is a recipient of three Army commendation medals and the Bronze Star; he is also one of the few surviving “Atomic Veterans” and is an active member of the National Association of Atomic Veterans, working to bring attention to the issues veterans face

Chip Jenkins leaves North Cascades superintendent post to become Pacific West deputy regional director

Chip Jenkins, who has been serving as superintendent at North Cascades National Park Complex, has been named deputy regional director for resource stewardship and planning for the National Park Service in the Pacific West Region.

In his new position, Jenkins will be responsible for leading and managing park operations for 17 parks located in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, as well as the administration of four major program functions – cultural resources management, natural resources management, planning and environmental compliance.
