Randy King today will be named superintendent of Mount Rainier National Park. He has been deputy superintendent at the park since 2003
King has been serving as acting superintendent since July when Dave Uberagua left to become superintendent at Grand Canyon National Park.
King will assume his new role beginning Nov. 6.
“Randy … is extremely familiar with the park, its partners and staff, and has demonstrated success in building partnerships and solving problems,” Chris Lehnertz, director of the Pacific West Region of the National Park Service, said in a statement.
