Crews today finished removing the 185-ton dock that washed ashore in December near La Push. The dock had been washed out to sea during the March 2011 tsunami in Japan.
Workers from The Undersea Co. of Port Townsend, removed the last of the dock’s concrete and plastic foam from the beach and the inland landing site. The dock came ashore on Olympic National Park land north of the mouth of the Hoh River.
The work, which began on March 17, was was challenging.
