Fitness update: Local results from the triathlon and Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Beijing and Vegas
As promised in today’s fitness column, here are the results from some local athletes competing on the big stage.
IRONMAN 70.3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Henderson, Nev.Heidi Hubler, a 37-year-old Bonney Lake resident and elementary school teacher, just finished her first appearance at the Ironman 70.3 (half Ironman) world championships in a time of 5 hours, 28 minutes, 7 seconds. She finished 40th in her age group and made up ground throughout the cycling and running legs. She was 49th after the swim and 44th after the bike portion.
