The South Sound Estuary Association will hold its annual meeting and volunteer celebration Tuesday.

The guest speaker will be George Sharp, director of Thurston County Visitor Bureau, who will talk about the association’s potential impact on the economics of South Puget Sound. He will discuss his recommendations as the Association works toward its goal of opening a aquarium and marine estuary interpretive center.

There also will be an overview of the group’s accomplishments and a look ahead at plans for 2013.

The event will run from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Friends Meeting House, 3201 Boston Harbor Road, Olympia.
