Ski Season starts Tuesday at Stevens Pass, Wednesday at Crystal Mountain and perhaps Mt. Baker

UPDATE, Nov. 21, 9:50 a.m. Crystal Mountain has opened, as seen by the eager skiers in the photo above.

UPDATE, Nov. 20, 12:37 p.m.: More ski areas have announced opening days.  49 Degrees North, north Of Spokane, will open Friday at 9 a.m. and Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood is currently operating. Timberline remains open year round.

UPDATE: Stevens Pass has just announced it will open Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m. It will open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Crystal Mountain ski area plans to launch the 2012-13 ski season with a partial opening at 9 on Wednesday morning.

The resort will open the Mount Rainier Gondola and Green Valley and Rainier Express lifts.

Mt. Baker has announced Wednesday as a “possible opening day.”

Mission Ridge near Wenatchee plans to open Friday.

White Pass and the Summit at Snoqualmie have not yet announced an opening day.

Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia opened Saturday.
