We will post thoughts from friends and colleagues of Rainier climbing ranger Nick Hall here:

Stevens Pass interim general manager Bill Bourton. Hall worked on the ski patrol at Stevens Pass 2008-10:

“I didn’t know Nick but folks here who knew him said he was a very likable, nice guy.  … It is a big shock for us.”

From Alpine Ascents International Guide Jonathon Spitzer, who worked with Hall in recent years:

“He was an extremely nice guy and a talented climber. A key ranger for the National Park and a valuable asset to their team.”

From International Mountain Guides co-director George Dunn, the only man to climb Rainier more than 500 times:

“I didn’t know him personally but I met him several times. He was a really solid and sincere climbing ranger and he was always on top of his game. He was committed to his job and serving the public.”
