The Tacoma Mountaineers and University of Puget Sound have changed the venue for the Nov. 18 program by famed Cascades climber Fred Beckey.

The event will now be held in the Kilworth Memorial Chapel on the UPS campus that seats about 330 people.

The show was sold out as of Wednesday afternoon. It was to be held in the smaller Rotunda Room at Wheelock Student Center at UPS.

“The response to Beckey’s speaking engagement has been tremendous as we’re sold out a week and a half before the event,” said Geoff Lawrence, Tacoma Mountaineers board chairman. “I’m happy that we’ll be able to accommodate more folks to see Fred.”

Tickets are $5 each and available $5 through Brown Paper Tickets, Tacoma Mountaineers and Edgeworks Climbing Indoor Rock Gym.
