Lake Sylvia State Park will be the site for the second annual Fall Festival celebration Saturday.
The festival runs from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., starting with a pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m.
The event includes music, games, an art show in the woods, guided interpretive walks, a farmers’ market, Dutch-oven cooking demonstrations and children’s activities, said a State Parks and Recreation news release.
For those looking for something more athletic, the festival also features individual and team triathlon and the duathlon for people ages 13 years and older. Children 12 years and younger may participate in the mini individual triathlon. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m., races begin at 8 a.m. Participants may register in advance by clicking here. A registration fee is required to participate.
Proceeds from the event goes to Friends of Lake Sylvia. The group formed in 2009 when the park was slate for closure.
The park is located at 1812 Lake Sylvia Road, Montesano. The Discover Pass, $10 a day or $30 annually, is required for those attending the event. For more information about the Fall Festival, click here.
