If the Reign Man goes outside in winter does he become the Snow Man?

Skiers can find out Saturday at Ski Bluewood, a small ski area near Dayton, in Southeast Washington.  Former Seattle SuperSonics star Shawn Kemp will be skiing and playing H-O-R-S-E with kids in the lodge on Saturday.

Ski With Shawn Kemp Day was arranged by a season pass holder who is associated with the new 3BA International League, said Travis Stephenson, Bluewood’s general manager.

Kemp will be an assistant coach for the Seattle team in the new 3-on-3 league that begins play in June. The league will also have teams in Portland and Spokane.

Kemp will be promoting the league and youth basketball at Bluewood, Stephenson said.

“And apparently he likes to ski,” Stephenson said.

Kemp, a six-time all-star, played 14 seasons in the NBA, including eight for the Sonics.

  1. Go Reign Man! Bluewood’s a great little ski area. My family skis there for a week every winter. Great powder and tree skiing.

  2. What next? Shooting freethrows at the Snoqualmie Casino? Paying all that child support is expensive. Go Kemp Go.
