Mission Ridge opens Friday

Just got this e-mail this morning from Mission Ridge.

Officials at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort have announced that the area is opening for skiing and riding this Friday, November 26th through Sunday, November 28th from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.

“This early opening will have limited terrain with an excellent surface on the open slopes.  The Ridge’s snowmakers have been hammering the production and making mountains of snow with these low temperatures.  The snow guns are blazing now as they close in on the lower mountain and base area before moving over to the Chair #4 terrain,” said Mark Milliette, General Manager.  “Additional terrain and lifts will open as conditions permit.”

For the safety of our staff and others, the mountain is closed above the parking lot to uphill and downhill traffic, due to all the activity getting ready for our opening and the season.  Among the many hazards, high voltage electrical cords and high pressure hoses, serving the snowmaking equipment as well as grooming and snowmobile traffic are operating throughout the ski area.

Lift ticket prices will be slightly discounted to reflect the available terrain.
