The South Sounds two fly-fishing clubs are marshaling forces Saturday to help the owner of Cady Lake Manor.
I got a notice from the South Sound Fly Fishers and the Puget Sound Fly Fishers, who were issuing the call for help.
The owner of Cady Lake Manor had a large amount of gravel delivered that needs to be spread onto the access road to the lake. Apparently the owner had a heart attack last year so the Puget Sound Fly Fishers helped spread the gravel.
This year the Tacoma club has extended an invitation to the Olympia club, but I’m sure they would appreciate any help. It also would be a good opportunity to meet members of both clubs.
“Cady Lake has been a special treat over the years and (the owner) has spent a bundle stocking the lake with quality fish. A good thank you would be to help out this Saturday,” said the Olympia club’s note.
Bring a shovel, and maybe some brush clippers. The work starts at 9 a.m. and should only take two to three hours. The group then goes into Belfair for coffee and shares tall tales of really big fish.
