Free boat safety checks at Cabela’s

Members of United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 33 will be doing free vessel safety checks May 22-23 at Cabela’s in Lacey.

Boaters can bring their watercraft to the storefor a safety check. The Tacoma auxiliary members will be on hand 10 a.m.-4 p.m. those days.

The store also will be hosting a number of other boating programs both days, including sessions on weather, communications, life jackets and safe boating.
