Do you take part in questing?

I was reading the National Parks Traveler blog and came across this story about a questing program being put together at Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

I read the story because I grew up about 15 minutes from places that are now part of the park.

But questing has me intriqued. Apparently it is an off shoot of letterboxing, with a touch of geocaching. Questing uses a series of written clues to give participants a sense of history, nature or culture and leads them to a cache that has a stamp and log book. The idea is to give people a sense of what makes a place special as they search for the cache. It’s the journey that’s the goal, not so much the cache.

Do you, or do you know anyone who takes part in Quests? I thought it would make a good story. I did some online research, but so far all I’ve found is some in Oregon. If you do have some info, please e-mail me at jeff.mayor@thenewstribune.com.

Here is a recent story I did on letterboxing.
