The Heart Lake area of the Olympic Wilderness made the Wilderness Society’s list of 10 best wilderness areas for romantic activities.

“I recommend camping alongside Heart Lake in Olympic National Park,” Andrea Imler, a Seattle-based communications manager for The Wilderness Society, in the news release.

“You can hike there on the High Divide Trail, enjoying old-growth forests and subalpine meadows – and perhaps catching a glimpse of black bear or Roosevelt elk. After the trip, you can enjoy a soak in the hot springs at the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.”

The one glitch in the listing is that the resort is not an option for Valentine’s Day. The resort is not scheduled to reopen for the season until March 26.

This list also included the Kenai Wilderness in Alaska’s Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and the UL Bend Wilderness in the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge in Montana.
