I got a brief e-mail from Ken Campbell this afternoon.

Apparently that sore shoulder was more than just weariness. Ken wrote that he tore the rotator cuff in his left shoulder, leaving him no option but to halt his attempt to paddle around Vancouver Island.

” I’ll get over it, but it’s hard to put so much prep and time spent aside,” he said.

Ken expects to leave Sayward Friday.
